Job Description

As a Translator, you will be responsible for converting written content from one language to another while preserving the original meaning, style, and tone. The role requires excellent language proficiency, cultural awareness, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Translate written materials accurately from [source language] to [target language] and vice versa.
  • Maintain the original tone, meaning, and context of the source content.
  • Proofread and edit translations for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
  • Use industry-specific terminology and adapt to client guidelines.
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work within the agreed timeframe.
  • Communicate with the team or clients to clarify any unclear text.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a translator or relevant position.
  • Fluency in at least two languages (e.g., English and [target language]).
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills in both languages.
  • Familiarity with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
  • Strong cultural understanding and ability to adapt tone and context appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Experience in specialized translation fields (legal, medical, technical, business, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CAT tools and localization practices.
